Field of Interest Fund

Allows you to select a particular area of interest that is close to your heart. When we approve a grant to an organization in your particular field of interest, we make the gift in your name.  A gift of $10,000 is needed for this type of fund, which creates a lasting legacy of caring in a way that is close to your heart.

Barbara Colleen Hooten Memorial Fund Established 3/25/2005

This fund was established to enhance the educational experiences of elementary age students from Delton and Hastings school systems, occasionally providing college scholarships, and scholarships for Barry County YMCA experiences.

Barry County Healthy Youth & Senior's Fund Established 6/27/2000

This fund promotes health and the prevention of health crisis for the young and for senior adults in Barry County.

Barry County Homelessness Prevention Fund Established 1/31/2003

This fund was established to support the creation of homeless prevention activities and/or expansion of existing prevention services.

Barry County Seniors/Disabled Fund  Established 2/19/2002

Funds are to be expended for assistance to the aged and/or disabled residents of Barry County who are at risk of losing the ability to live in their own homes because of the need to pay for modifications and repairs to their homes, and/or funds to pay for transportation to/from medical treatment.

Barry County Young Person's Fund Established 11/4/1997

This fund shall be used for the support of young people who reside in Barry County through scholarships, and/or educational development experiences, and/or leadership training, and/or any other opportunities for leadership development.

Barry County Youth Advisory Council Fund Established 9/26/1996

This fund shall be used for the support of the charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes created by and for the youth of Barry County.

Calvin C. Plummer Memorial Fund -TAEF Established 11/1/2005

The purpose of this fund is to provide support for projects, programs or equipment that benefit the special needs community of Barry County. Administrated by the Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation.

Community Involvement Fund Established 6/26/2003

This fund supports projects to build community and strengthen the capacity of organizations working together.

Harold Hawks Memorial Fund  Established 6/26/2002

This fund, whose advisors are the grandchildren and great grandchildren of Mr. Hawks, was created to support the charitable activities of Barry County.

Hastings Area Rotary Club Fund Established 5/31/1999

This fund shall be used exclusively to supplement the programs of the Rotary Club of Hastings, Michigan and/or its members, as advised from time to time by the club's board of directors.

Hastings Area Country Club Charity Golf Classic in memory of Bill Porter Fund   Established 3/20/04

This non-endowed fund supports charitable grantmaking for the annual golf outing, sponsored by MainStreet Savings Bank.  

Hastings Elks Lodge 1965 Charitable Fund Established 7/13/2005

This fund is to support the charitable grantmaking programs of the Hastings Elks Lodge.

Hastings Junior Chamber of Commerce Fund  Established 2/15/2000

This fund is for the Hastings Junior Chamber of Commerce, providing leadership through community service for people between the ages of 21 and 40.

Jim Jensen Memorial Fund Established 9/7/2001

This fund supports the grantmaking of the Youth Advisory Council, preferably toward sports and sports related programs.

Kiwanis Club of Hastings Fund  Established 12/1/2000

This fund is to benefit the charitable activities of the Kiwanis Club of Hastings, Michigan.

Louise Ann Stockham Memorial Fund  Established 3/7/2002

This fund will house a collection of works donated by Barry County artists for display in local non-profit headquarters, with priority given to Pennock Hospital.

Project Team-Up Events Fund  Established 4/15/2004

This fund is used to support regional activities associated with 13 area community foundations.

S. C. Blood Family Fund Established 4/17/1998

This fund shall be used in the Barry County rural agricultural field for activities, projects, or programs that promote and continue the agricultural and pioneer heritage of the area, with priority given, but not limited to, Carlton, Woodland, Castleton and Irving Townships.
