Broad Grantmaking

Barry County MSU Extension Fund: To support the charitable programs and projects of Michigan State University Extension within Barry County.

BCF Board Unrestricted Fund: The purpose of the fund is to support special Barry County projects and programs and through the approval of the Barry Community Foundation’s Board of Directors.

BCF Community Wide Grantmaking Fund: The purpose of the fund is to provide unrestricted grantmaking dollars available to Barry County programs and projects. The grant committee of the Barry Community Foundation makes recommendations to the Board of Directors on how the money should be awarded.

BCF Management Endowment Fund: The purpose of this fund is to support the charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes of the Barry Community Foundation.

BCF Youth Advisory Council Fund: The purpose of this fund is to support the charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes of the Barry Community Foundation’s Youth Advisory Council.

BCUW Florence Tyden Groos Memorial Fund for the Barry County United Way: To distributions from this fund will support the Barry County United Way’s administrative expenses.

Bill Porter Memorial Charity Golf Classic: To support the charitable golf tournament of the Hastings Country Club This fund shall be used to grant money to the charities benefited by the outing.

Carl Grashuis Family Fund: For Ann Davis and next generation to make recommendations on distributions from this charitable family fund.

Hastings Area Rotary Club: The fund shall be used exclusively to supplement the programs of the Rotary Club of Hastings MI and/or its members as determined from time to time by the Club’s Board of Directors.

HomeTown Partnership Fund: To provide funds that support activities toward economic development including, but not limited to, entrepreneurship, Youth Development, Building Charitable Assets for Barry County and Leadership development for our residents.

Jim Jensen Memorial Fund: To benefit the charitable activities of the Kiwanis Club of Hastings.

Kiwanis Club of Hastings Fund: To support the Maple Valley School District area residents as an affiliate geographic fund.

Maple Valley Building Unlimited Sustainability & Growth Fund: To provide charitable support to Barry County, as recommended by the advisory committee of this fund. The advisory committee is comprised of the donors to the fund, who are primarily 20-something to 40-something years old.

Next Generation Fund: This fund will provide grants for charitable projects in the Orangeville Area.

Orangeville Community Fund: To support the administrative costs of the Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation.

Richard T. & Ethel D. Groos Memorial Fund: For the purpose of gifting memorial contributions to the Barry Community Foundation’s Barry Community Grant Fund.

TAEF Board Discretionary Fund: To support the administrative costs of the Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation.

TAEF General Fund: The purpose of the fund is to provide grant making dollars to support Thornapple-Kellogg school district programs and projects. The Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation (TAEF) promotes high quality academics through grants that support the teacher and student. Although their primary focus is education, a portion of TAEF’s allocated granting dollars is also used to enrich and sustain the Middleville community each fiscal year.
