Basic Needs

  • Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation (TAEF) Grant

    The purpose of the Clay Hills Farm Grant is to supply funding for projects, programs or equipment that benefit students attending or who have graduated from Thornapple Kellogg Schools. 

    • Promote skills training after high school.
    • Promote hands on technical or mechanical projects.
    • Priority funding will be given for vocational or skills training in mechanics or welding.
    • Grant requests up to $500 will be considered.
    • Available to students attending or who have graduated from Thornapple Kellogg Schools.

    • Emphasis on one of the seven elements of a healthy community.
      • Health and Wellness, Neighborhoods and Community, Arts and Culture, Basic Needs, Education, Economy, Environment
    • Grant applications are due on October 15th each year.

  • Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Grant

    The purpose of the Youth Advisory Council (YAC) Grant is to supply funding for programs and projects that benefit the youth of Barry County.

    • Positively impacts youth in Barry County.
    • Grant application must be written by a youth member of the organization.
    • Mini Grant proposals of up to $300 are accepted are accepted anytime throughout the year.
    • Grant Proposals over $300 are due March 15th and October 15th each year.

Education

    The purpose of the Fitzgerald Odyssey of the Mind and Arts Grant is to supply funding to Thornapple Kellogg Students for projects, programs or equipment that pertain to Odyssey of the Mind or Arts.

    • Promote Odyssey of the Mind.
    • Promote Arts programs.
    • Available to current Thornapple Kellogg Students.

  • Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation (TAEF) Grant

    The purpose of the Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation (TAEF) Grant is to supply funding for educational and community enrichment projects, programs and equipment needs in Middleville.

    • Promotes community enrichment.
    • Promotes educational programs.
    • Mini Grant proposals of $50 to $300 are considered throughout the year.
    • Grant proposals of $301 to $5,000 are due on October 1st each year.

  • Delton Kellogg Education Foundation (DKEF) Grant

    The purpose of the Delton Kellogg Education Foundation (DKEF) grant is to support learning opportunities related to classroom instruction in the Delton Kellogg School District.

    • Provides educational support and/or enrichment.
    • Directly benefit the youth of the Delton Kellogg School District.
    • Grant requests up to $500 will be considered.
    • Grants proposals will be accepted throughout the school year.

  • Wilson H. Craig Jr. Memorial Fund Grant

    The purpose of the Wilson H. Craig Jr. Memorial Fund grant is to encourage substantial improvement in the K-12 science, mathematics and astronomy education programs in Barry County.

    • Promotes creativity, critical thinking and inventiveness in youth.
    • Supports K-12 science, math, and astronomy educational programs.
    • Grant requests of up to $3,000 will be considered.
    • Grant proposals are due on April 30th and/or October 31st each year.

  • GLWC – Gun Lake Area (Woman’s Club) Visual and Performing Arts Grant

    The purpose of the Gun Lake Area (Woman’s Club) Grant is to supply funding for high school students interested in the Visual and Performing Arts.

    • Supports a Visual Arts Grant in photography, film, video, painting, drawing, sculpture fiber, illustration or CAD
    • Supports a Performing Arts Grant in choral, instrumental, theatre and dance
    • Available to students attending Delton Kellogg, Martin, Thornapple Kellogg and Wayland Union High Schools
    • Must be an enrichment opportunity not provided through the school.
    • To qualify applicants must fill out the student form and accompanying teacher form.
    • Grant proposals are due by April 30th each year.


Environment
