Caledonia Farmers Elevator Robert Newman Educational Scholarship Fund
Fund Purpose: The Caledonia Farmers Elevator Robert Newman Educational Scholarship Fund was established for the purpose of providing scholarships to students region-wide who are pursuing a career in Agriculture or Agribusiness.
- Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be a Michigan resident
- Student must be a graduating senior of a Michigan accredited High School or Home School.
- Must declare a major in Agriculture/Agribusiness
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits each semester
- Must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better
- Strong consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate their desire to complete this degree, citizenship, community involvement through non-academic or volunteer activities, work related experience or affiliation with Caledonia Farmers Elevator.
Coleman Agency MJ Scholarship Fund
This fund shall assist any Barry County resident who wishes to pursue a trades or vocational degree or certification.
- Student must be a resident of Barry County pursuing a vocational degree or certification.
- Student must be accepted to an accredited program though a vocational/technical school, community college, or certification program.
- Student must demonstrate financial need.
Delton Kellogg Education Foundation Scholarship (GPA 2.5 – 3.25)
- Student must be a graduating senior of Delton Kellogg Schools.
- Student must have a cumulative GPA between 2.5 – 3.25.
- Student must be accepted to an accredited college, university, community college or trade school.
- Student will be evaluated on community involvement and leadership experience.
Delton Kellogg Education Foundation Scholarship (GPA above 3.26)
- Student must be a graduating senior of Delton Kellogg Schools.
- Student must have a cumulative GPA above 3.26.
- Student must be accepted to an accredited college, university, community college or trade school.
- Student will be evaluated on community involvement and leadership experience.

- Student must be a graduating senior of Delton High School system.

1. Must be a graduating high school senior from Delton Kellogg High School.
2. Must be accepted at an accredited post-secondary school or vocational/technical institute.

4. Must have a GPA of at least 2.0 (not a scoring criteria).
5. Must be pursuing a degree in the field of art including but not limited to fine arts, performing arts, visual arts or graphic/video art.

- Student must provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher.
- Student will be evaluated on essay content that demonstrates the use of the Rotary four-way test.

DKEF – Kate Kwasny Memorial Teacher Scholarship
The Kate Kwasny Memorial Scholarship Foundation is dedicated to providing scholarships for Delton-Kellogg high school seniors who are pursuing a career in education.

- Student must be accepted to an accredited college or university
- Student must have a minimum 2.0 GPA
- Student must be planning to pursue a teaching degree
- Student must demonstrate community involvement through non-academic school activities, volunteer work, or work experience
- Student will be evaluated on essay content related to the reason why he/she wants to become a teacher
DKEF – Mary Collier Bard Fan Scholarship
1. Must be a graduating high school senior from Delton Kellogg High School or a Delton graduate who has taken a college level Shakespeare course and received a B grade or better.
2. Must be accepted at an accredited post-secondary school or vocational/technical institute.
3. Financial need is not a requirement, but students must fill out the FAFSA application: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov.
4. Must provide an additional personal statement indicating “what Shakespeare character is most like you and why”.
DKEF – Wyatt M. Cook Memorial Scholarship
It is the intention of the fund to support a graduating high school senior from Delton Kellogg with a post-secondary scholarship. Students must meet the following criteria to be eligible.
Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major in a foreign language and/or culture, history, social studies, OR in education with a major in one of these three courses of study. If NO qualified student pursuing one of these fields applies, then a study majoring in any area of education is eligible.
Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Must be accepted at an accredited post-secondary college or university.

Emil Tyden Founders Scholarship Fund
- Student must be a graduate of a Barry County High School.
- Student must be enrolled in an accredited four-year college or university.
- Student must maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA.
- Student must be planning to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Engineering/product Development.
- Student must express a desire to live and work in the Hastings, MI area upon graduation.
- Student must provide letters of recommendation from their high school science and math teachers.
GFWC – Gun Lake Area (Women’s Club) Scholarship for Delton Kellogg
- Must be a graduating high school senior from Delton Kellogg.
- Must be accepted at an accredited post-secondary school or vocational/technical institute.
- Applicants will be evaluated on their ability to communicate through their written responses to the questions included in the application as well as the interview process.
- Leadership experience is required.
- Community/volunteer experience is required.
- Financial need is not a requirement.
GFWC – Gun Lake Area (Women’s Club) Skilled Trade Scholarships
1. Must be a graduating high school senior from Wayland, Martin, Thornapple Kellogg, or Delton Kellogg. Four scholarships will be awarded (one to each school).
2. Must be accepted at an accredited post-secondary school or vocational/technical institute.
3. Qualified applicant must be pursuing a skilled trades degree or certification.
4. Applicant’s high school GPA should be between 2.0 and 3.5.

Southside Pediatrics Scholarship Fund
- Must be a Barry County graduate or a graduating senior in the current academic year.
- Student plans to pursue a career dedicated to improving the lives of children. Some examples are: Teacher, Counselor, pediatric PT, OT or Speech, youth minister, para-professional, genetic counseling or child life specialist.
- Must be accepted at an accredited post-secondary school or vocational/technical institute.
- Student will be evaluated on essay content.
- One letter of recommendation from a high school teacher, counselor, principal, employer, community volunteer leader or religious leader.
TAC – Ethel Denton Groos Scholarship Fund
- Student must be a Barry County resident.
- Student must be planning to pursue a 4 year degree in a Fine Arts program.
- Student must demonstrate community involvement through non-academic school activities, volunteer work, or work experience.
- Student will be evaluated on essay content.
TAEF – The McCullough Family Scholarship – Delton Kellogg

- Students must be planning to pursue a 2 or 4 year degree in business, education or ministry

TAEF – Travis Wenger 4-H Scholarship
- Student must be a graduating senior or a full time (minimum 12 credit hours) freshman at an accredited institution or vocational program.
- Student must be accepted to an accredited college, university or vocational institution.
- Student must provide at least three letters of recommendation from the following areas: 4-H Leader, teacher, coach, employer, pastor, neighbor or athletic director. Letters from immediate family members WILL NOT qualify.
- Student will be evaluated on essay content. Essay must include:
- The value of the 4-H program from previous experiences to future endeavors.
- Explanation on how 4-H has prepared the applicant for his/her future.
- Involvement in community service projects including contributions during fair week.
- Student must be an active 4-H member and participant of the Barry County Fair for the last four or more consecutive years.
Team Barry County Entrepreneurship Scholarship

- Graduating senior or graduate
- Must be accepted into an entrepreneurship program at a Michigan School.
- Minimum of a 2.5(GPA) required
- Must submit at least 2 letters of recommendation (either Community Leader, Academic or Business).
- Must demonstrate community involvement.
Thornapple Garden Club “Walk Gently on this Good Earth” Scholarship
- Student must be a Barry County Resident
- Student must be accepted to an accredited educational institution
- Student must be planning to pursue a 2 or 4 year degree in the field of agricultural science, conservation, floricultural, horticultural, landscape design, or any related field
- Student must demonstrate financial need
- Consideration will be given to Thornapple Garden Club members and family
- Student will be evaluated on essay content
Viking Group West Michigan Scholarship
- Student must be a child of a full-time Viking Group, Inc. U.S. employee who has been actively employed with the company at a West Michigan location for at least one year prior to the application deadline date
- Student must be 23 years of age or younger
- Student must be accepted to a 2 or 4 year accredited college, university, or vocational-technical school
- Student must enroll full-time
- Student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA
