The scholarship honors a family legacy rooted in Christian service, agriculture, education, leadership, and the Wayland community. Eligible students must pursue a degree in engineering, education, agriculture, or Christian Services.

Financial need is not required. However, students should complete the FAFSA, and middle-income applicants receive preference.

The Team Barry County Entrepreneurship Scholarship helps Barry County students pursue entrepreneurship education at a Michigan school.

Applicants should demonstrate academic readiness, community involvement, and a clear interest in developing the knowledge and skills needed to build, lead, or grow a business.

Eligibility Summary

• Barry County resident
• Graduating senior or high school graduate
• Accepted into an entrepreneurship program at a Michigan school
• Minimum 2.5 GPA
• At least two letters of recommendation
• Recommendations should come from academic, business, or community leaders
• Demonstrated community involvement

The Thornapple Garden Club “Walk Gently on this Good Earth” Scholarship supports Barry County students who plan to study agriculture, conservation, horticulture, landscape design, floriculture, or a related field.

The scholarship encourages education that connects students with the care, design, stewardship, and future of the natural environment.

Eligibility Summary

• Barry County resident or student attending a Barry County school
• Accepted to an accredited educational institution
• Plans to pursue a 2- or 4-year degree in an eligible field
• Eligible fields include agricultural science, conservation, floriculture, horticulture, landscape design, and related areas
• Demonstrated financial need
• Thornapple Garden Club members and family may receive consideration
• Essay response required
