This scholarship was initiated by the Thornapple-Kellogg Class of 2000 as a memorial to their classmate Adam Dipp. Adam’s death occurred from an auto accident on his way to school April 12, 1999. Adam’s main interest was working on and with his computer. He enjoyed being involved with the student teacher assistant program (STA) in the computer science department. Qualified applicants will share a desire to major/work in Computer Science. Applicants seeking Construction Management degree will also be considered. If no qualified applicants apply, the scholarship can be offered to the student receiving it the previous year.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Student must be a graduating senior of Thornapple Kellogg Schools or an approved Michigan homeschooled senior.
- Student must have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Student must be planning to pursue a 2 or 4 year degree in Computer Science or Construction Management.
- Student must demonstrate financial need.
- Student must provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher.
- Student must demonstrate community involvement through non-academic school activities, volunteer work, or work experience.
- Student will be evaluated on essay content.
