Jane Morris was always passionate about 4H. Growing up, Jane spent her teens at the Barry County Fair showing steer with her sisters. After her time in 4H was up, she strived to get her kids involve in the program, and was the Lakewood Community 4H leader for several years. She believed that getting kids involved with 4H taught them responsibility, leadership, dedication, and kindness. Unfortunately, Jane passed away on July 22, 2015 from meningioma, a tumor that forms on the membranes that cover the brain and spinal cord just inside the skull. She will forever be missed by her family and friends, but the family is grateful to be able to help support students through her memory. Thanks to several community donations, the Jane Morris memorial Fund was formed. This scholarship is for graduating seniors who participate in 4H at the Barry County Fair. Candidates must embrace Jane’s passion to be involved in community and have a love of 4H.
