The purpose of this scholarship is to promote the positive use of friendship to benefit school and community and to encourage higher education.  The Elizabeth Thurber Chapter of the National Honor Society’s (TKHS-NHS) purpose reflects this scholarship’s proposed intent of promoting service, leadership and character in the students of Thornapple Kellogg Schools.  This scholarship was developed to a great extent from the friendship of Elizabeth Thurber (who founded TKHS-NHS) and Katie Wieringa and their commitment to education at Thornapple Kellogg Schools.

  • Student must be accepted to an accredited college, university, community college or trade school.
