Love for Lennon, Incorporated is a nonprofit organization formed by local citizens in April 2005 to assist children with special needs in Barry County and improve their quality of life.
The organization was inspired by Lennon, born November 28, 1995, in Hastings, MI. Lennon grew up with a bright mind and a deep curiosity about the world. He graduated from Hastings High School in 2014 and continued his education at Kellogg Community College. He had a lifelong passion for science, astronomy, science fiction, gaming, movies, and YouTube.
During Lennon’s years at Star Elementary School, his teachers and community came together to create Love for Lennon, a fundraising effort that helped build a handicap-accessible home for him. That generosity remained one of the most meaningful gifts of his life and became the foundation for a lasting effort to support other children with special needs in Barry County.
Lennon passed away on July 30, 2026, at the age of 30. His curiosity, spirit, and the love of his community continue to inspire the work of Love for Lennon, Inc.
