Funds

Funds to be expended for assistance to aged and/or disabled residents of Barry County who are at risk of losing the ability to live in their own homes because of the need to pay for modifications and repairs to their homes and/or to fund transportation.

The fund shall be used to promote and support the establishment of land conservancy and conservation as determined from time to time by an advisory committee and approved by the Foundation.

The fund shall be used to support the charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes of the Barry County Early Education Initiative (commonly referred to as Great Start).

The fund shall be used to support the preservation of farmland in Barry County.

The fund shall be used to support the creation of  healthy economy that is diverse, vital and innovative, that grows strong businesses and business districts, and creates adequate jobs and income for residents.

The fund shall be used to promote health and prevention of health crisis for young & senior adults in Barry County.

Through the contributions of many donors, the grants and loans from this fund are used to increase the housing inventory in Barry County.

It is the intention of the Barry County Humane Society Compassion and Love of Animals Scholarship Fund to award a scholarship to graduating high school seniors of any Barry County school or resident of Barry County who is pursuing a degree pertaining to animals. Eligibility Requirements:

To support the costs associated with youth golf.

The fund shall be used to match KickStart CSA's when child meets their summer reading goals

To support the charitable programs and projects of Michigan State University Extension within Barry County.

To support the needs and operations of parks across Barry County.

The fund shall be used to support the economic vitality of Barry County through mission related investment vehicles. The Program, consistent with the Foundation’s mission of improving lives by bridging resources and fostering collaboration, keeps money made in Barry County invested in Barry County. This scholarship will be awarded to any Barry County graduating senior who has demonstrated leadership and service to others in the area of substance abuse prevention among their peers and community. Support the activities of the Barry County Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program.

The fund shall be used for the provision, enhancement and/or maintenance of facilities for use by Barry County Youth at the Barry County Expo Center grounds, as recommended by this Fund's advisory committee and approved by the Barry Community Foundation.

To increase health care access for the underinsured or underserved in Barry County.

The fund shall be used to support the charitable programs and projects of the Barry Intermediate School District.

The mission is to serve the BISD by supporting classroom performance and expectation goals of "Be Safe", "Be Polite" and "Be Aware."  With a focus on Service, Solutions and continual support of the Educational and Social needs of the BISD Students.

To provide for the expenses related to the Barry Community Enrichment Center non-profit activities.

At completion of Hastings Capital Campaign, the remaining dollars were directed to the BCF Administrative costs.

Increasing the impact of our anniversary activities  and supporting the mission and vision for our Barry County community.

The purpose of the fund is to provide unrestricted grantmaking dollars available to Barry County programs and projects. The grant committee of the Barry Community Foundation makes recommendations to the Board of Directors on how the money should be awarded.

The purpose of this fund is to support the charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes of the Barry Community Foundation's Youth Advisory Council.
