This scholarship was developed in the memory of Terrie Yoder by her husband, Dave, and her daughters, Wendy and Gina. Terrie was a 1965 Thornapple Kellogg High School Graduate. Post high school, she earned her Elementary Education degree from Michigan State University. This vocation led her to the first grade classroom and teaching Sunday school at Freeport United Methodist Church. Terrie’s faith guided her with everyday living, family growth and development.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Student must be a graduating senior of Thornapple Kellogg Schools.
- Student must be accepted at an accredited college or university.
- Student must have a minimum 2.6 GPA based on a 5 point scale.
- Student must be pursuing a degree in Education and/or Christian Ministry. If NO qualified student pursuing a degree in Education and/or Christian Ministry applies, award will not be given in said year.
- Student must provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher.
- Student will be evaluated on essay content.
