00363 DKEF – Delton Kellogg Determined Student Scholarship Fund
Provide a scholarship to a student who has experienced a hardship (abuse, neglect, illness, injury or financial or social instability) with a 3.0 GPA graduating from DK Schools.
00368 TAEF Logan Michael Kimbrue Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Logan Michael Kimbrue Memorial Scholarship was set up in memory of Logan Kimbrue who was a Thornapple Kellogg student involved in the TK Football program.
Barry Career Access Network
This fund shall be used to support the career access network for Barry County.
Barry Community Foundation is proud to be a supporter of the Barry Career Access Network effort, known as BCAN!, and its goal to increase the percentage of Greater Barry County residents with post-high school certificates or degrees to 60% by the year 2025.
BCAN!, which is part of the Michigan College Access Network system, is more than a college access network for young people in Barry County, it is an effort to help people find their passion and success in careers that are high in skill, demand, and reward.

Barry County Christian School KickStart Fund
This fund will support Barry County Christian Students Children Savings Accounts by providing matches as determined by the Committee of KickStart.
Barry County Early Education Fund
The fund shall be used to support the charitable, scientific, literary, or educational purposes of the Barry County Early Education Initiative (commonly referred to as Great Start).
Barry County Humane Society Compassion and Love for Animals
It is the intention of the Barry County Humane Society Compassion and Love of Animals Scholarship Fund is to award a scholarship to graduating high school seniors of any Barry County school or resident of Barry County who is pursuing a degree pertaining to animals.
Barry County Library KickStart Match Funds
The fund shall be used to match KickStart CSA’s when child meets their summer reading goals
Barry Intermediate School District PTO Fund
The mission is to serve the BISD by supporting classroom performance and expectation goals of "Be Safe", "Be Polite" and "Be Aware." With a focus on Service, Solutions and continual support of the Educational and Social needs of the BISD Students.
Caledonia Farmers Elevator Robert Newman Educational Scholarship
The Caledonia Farmers Elevator Robert Newman Educational Scholarship Fund was established for the purpose of providing scholarships to students region-wide who are pursuing a career in Agriculture or Agribusiness.
Eligibility Requirements:
1. Must be a Michigan resident
2. Student must be a graduating senior of a Michigan accredited High School or Home School.
3. Must declare a major in Agriculture/Agribusiness
4. Must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits each semester
5. Must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better
6. Strong consideration will be given to applicants who demonstrate their desire to complete this degree, citizenship, community involvement through non-academic or volunteer activities, work related experience or affiliation with Caledonia Farmers Elevator.
Cedar Creek Career & Technical Education Fund
The fund will be used for the purposes of career training in the field of manufacturing industry
Dave Storms YMCA Community Outreach Fund
To support community outreach efforts by the YMCA of Barry County such as Y Mentors, CATCH Summer Playground, Y on the Fly, and the B. Bus Mobile Library.
Delton Area Rotary Club Fund
To support the welfare of Delton and other communities for charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes.
DKEF – Barbara Colleen Hooten Memorial Fund
To enhance the educational experiences of elementary age students from Delton & Hastings Schools Systems, occasionally provide college scholarships and scholarships for Barry County YMCA experiences.
DKEF – Delton Educational Enrichment Fund
Fund Purposes
Grants from this fund may be used for purposes including, but not limited to, the following examples.
1. Education enhancement for the arts, music, science, classroom or whole school collaborations. Any grant must impact the learning for children.
2. This money could be used for a match for other grants.
3. Teachers may make application no more than once per year.

The fund shall be used to support literacy education in Delton Kellogg Elementary Schools in honor of Mrs. Murphy.
DKEF – Margery Martin Elementary Tree Fund
The fund shall be used to provide white pine tree saplings for every Pre-school through Elementary age student the week of Arbor Day, which annually on the last Friday in April.
DKEF – Mary Collier Bard Fan Scholarship
The purpose is to provide a scholarship or educational assistance to a graduating senior or a graduate of Delton Kellogg High School.
DKEF – Wyatt M. Cook Memorial Scholarship Fund
It is the intention of the fund to support a graduating high school senior from Delton Kellogg with a post-secondary scholarship. Students must meet the following criteria to be eligible:
Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree with a major in a foreign language and/or culture, history, social studies, OR in education with a major in one of these three courses of study. If NO qualified student pursuing one of these fields applies, then a study majoring in any area of education is eligible.
Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
Must be accepted at an accredited post-secondary college or university.

Eldon P Willard Scholarship
This scholarship was setup to honor Eldon P. Willard a Hastings school teacher. This will be awarded to a Hastings Area High School graduating senior who plans to pursue a degree or certification beyond high school.
Student must be a graduating senior of Hastings High School.
Student will be evaluated on athletic involvement with special consideration given to students who participate in karate.
Additional consideration given to sportsman with an interest in hunting and fishing.
Academic achievement is desirable.
Leadership abaility must be demonstrated, along with community involvement.
Student must be accepted at an accredited college or university.
Student must provide a letter of recommendation.
Encouraging Hope Fund
Donor advised fund to support charitable projects, programs and activities in Barry County.
Florence & Carl Niethamer Trust Fund
The fund shall be used for the support of young people who reside in Barry County through scholarships, and/or educational development experiences, and/or leadership training, and/or any other opportunities for leadership development of Barry County Youth.
General Federation of Women’s Club – Gun Lake Area Fund
The purpose is to support scholarships and/or related educational purposes as directed by the General Federation of Women’s Club – Gun Lake Area Women’s Club.
It is the intention of the General Federation of Women’s Club – Gun Lake Area Fund to award four separate $2,000 scholarships to graduating high school seniors exhibiting community service and leadership qualities in each of the four (4) school districts which surround Gun Lake: Delton Kellogg, Martin, Thornapple Kellogg, and Wayland Union. Post secondary job training scholarships in the amount of $500 will be awarded each year to student(s) who attend each of the above mentioned school districts.
Gies Family Scholarship Fund
Award 2 $500 scholarships to graduating Hastings High School seniors pursuing a degree in math, pre-dentistry, biological sciences or environmental sciences.
Girl Scouts of Barry County, Glowing Embers Girl Scout Council Fund
The fund shall be used for support of the charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes of the Glowing Embers Girl Scout Council activities in Barry County.
Groos Family Fund
Provides funding to improve the quality of education in Barry County. All grants will be consistent with the purposes and guidelines of the Foundation’s general grant making policies. Also funds the Viking Group West Michigan Scholarship.
Hastings Area Schools KickStart Fund
This fund will support Hastings Area Students Children Savings Accounts by providing matches as determined by the Committee of KickStart
Hastings Dominica Expedition Special Project Fund
The purpose of the special project fund is to provide a centralized location for fund raising and payment to support 12 students from the Barry County area who will work with researchers from Operation Walllacea to engage in research that impacts the environment regarding invasive species in several habitats.
Hastings Education Enrichment Foundation Fund
The fund shall be used exclusively to supplement and enrich the education programs of the Hastings Area School System and/or its members as determined from time to time by an advisory committee and approved by the Foundation.
Hastings Elks Lodge 1965 Youth Activities Fund
The fund shall be used to support the charitable activities of the Hastings Elks Lodge 1965 that support Youth, i.d., hoop shoot competition, scholarships.
Imagination Library of Barry County Fund #294
The Fund is used to support the program costs of the Imagination Library of Barry County.

To support the Priority Area as determined by the Barry Community Foundation Board of Directors
Jane Morris Memorial Fund
Provides scholarships to Barry County students who participate in 4H.
- Student must be a graduating senior of a Barry County high school

Provides scholarships to Lakewood student.

Kensinger & Alice Jones Write Away Scholarship
The fund shall be used to encourage and inspire Barry County High School students to develop an appreciation for the creative writing process and to provide incentives for the expression of original ideas through the use of written language.
Kickstart to Career – Savings Matters Fund
Provide $50 into savings account for each kindergarten student in Barry County.
Lakewood Early Childhood Education Center KickStart Fund
This fund will support Lakewood Area Students Children Savings Accounts by providing matches as determined by the Committee of KickStart
Libraries of Barry County
The fund shall be used to support the work of the libraries located in Barry County.
Little Hands Montessori
- This fund will assist the Little Hands Montessori, a bi-lingual school in Richland, to gather start up funds while its 501C3 status is being processed.
Love of Barry County Donor Advised Fund
To help provide funding for educational, benevolent, charitable or public purposes within or outside the County of Barry. The focus will be faith based, along with seven elements of a healthy community.
Lydia Cole Memorial Fund
The purpose of this fund is to support TK, DK and/or Hastings graduating seniors by providing scholarships. The fund will also support the TK, DK and Hastings swimming programs with grant dollars.
Maple Valley Memorial Scholarship Foundation Fund
Founded by two retired Maple Valley school teachers on the principal that every graduating Maple Valley Schools student deserved a chance to continue their studies. The Maple Valley Memorial Scholarship Foundation provides scholarships to college or trade-school bound seniors or alumni.

Steve Paas Memorial Scholarship (Pepsi Beverages Company)
Fund Purpose: Providing scholarships to children of the employees of Pepsi Beverage Company 3700 Kraft Avenue, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Student must be a child of a full-time employee of the Pepsi Beverages Company located at 3700 Kraft Avenue. Employee must be actively employed with the company for at least one year prior to the application deadline date.
- Student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Student must be planning to pursue a 2 or 4 year degree.
- Student must provide a letter of recommendation from an individual who is not a family member.
- Student may reapply each year for this scholarship; however cannot receive scholarship more than two times.
TAEF – Clay Hills Farm Fund
This granting fund will be used to provide assistance to Thornapple Kellogg High School students who are pursuing vocational training opportunities.
TAEF – Dykstra EMS Matching Fund

Children learn from role models in their lives; family, friends and the classroom teachers. Sense of the world beyond the classroom, love of learning, and young people would describe someone who would consider the field of education.
TAEF – Kickstart to Career – Saving Matters
To support the Kickstart to Career Savings program for all Thornapple Kellogg kindergarten students.

Provides scholarships to Thornapple Kellogg students pursuing a certification or degree in the skilled trade field or health care profession.
Wilson H. Craig Jr. Memorial Fund
The purpose of the fund is to encourage substantial improvement in the K-12 science, mathematics and astronomy education programs promoting creativity, critical thinking and inventiveness in youth within the geographic region bounded by the cities of Kalamazoo, Battle Creek, Lansing and Grand Rapids, excluding the areas encompassed by said city limits.
YMCA of Barry County Fund
The fund shall be used to support of the charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes of the YMCA of Barry County.

- Must be accepted at an accredited post-secondary school.
- Student must be involved in fine arts or visual arts/communication.
- Student must demonstrate strong ties to the Delton community.
- Student must provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher.

This scholarship will be awarded to a Delton Kellogg Alternative High School graduating senior who plans to pursue a career path requiring college or a vocational/technical course of study or equipment/tools required to complete such training.
DKEF – George & Doris Leonard Scholarship Fund
The fund shall be used for support of the George & Doris Leonard Scholarships and/or related educational purposes as set forth in attachment A in the Foundation Agreement, for students of Delton Area Schools.
DKEF – Gladys Carol Williams Scholarship for Academic Excellence
Provides scholarships to graduating seniors of Delton Kellogg Schools who are in the top 10% the graduating class.
DKEF – John F. & Gladys M. Chamberlain Scholarship
An annual scholarship with preference given to students pursuing a degree in Math, Education, Music or History, not limited to a graduating senior, but must be an alumni of the Delton Kellogg School System.

The purpose is to provide a scholarship or educational assistance to a graduating senior or a graduate of Delton Kellogg High School.

A female 21 or over that has been accepted to a nursing program through an accredited college, applications will be accepted annually. In the event of an illness or other excusable absence, a one year interruption may be granted upon approval.

This scholarship program was established for the purpose of awarding a needy and deserving female student graduating from Hastings High School, who is pursuing further education at an accredited vocational/technical school, community college or university.
Gies Family Scholarship Fund
Award 2 $500 scholarships to graduating Hastings High School seniors pursuing a degree in math, pre-dentistry, biological sciences or environmental sciences.
HEEF – Gladys P. Cairns Memorial Fund
Three scholarships of $500 per year to be awarded for four consecutive years to a senior graduating from HHS with at least a B- grade point average throughout high school with good moral character, pursuing a 4-year degree and have financial need.

One scholarship of $500 per year to be awarded for four consecutive years to a senior graduating from HHS. If possible, the scholarship should be awarded to the son or daughter of a Rotarian.

2 scholarships of $500 each to be awarded to seniors graduating from Hastings High School.
HEEF – Mabel H. Foote Scholarship Fund
Shall be used for support of the Mabel H. Foote scholarships and/or related educational purposes: 1. Male HHS Grad-2-4 yr AgriScience; 2. Female HHS Grad 2-4 yr in Med Science. The scholarship will follow the recipients through degree completion.
HEEF – Paul E. & Rosellen E. Siegel Memorial Fund
Two scholarships of $500 awarded to needy and deserving HHS Sr.’s who might not otherwise be able to attend college, special consideration being given to U of M and WMU. May be 4 years and may continue for graduate school.
HEEF – Robert Casey Memorial Fund
One scholarship of $500 to be awarded to a senior graduating from HHS and planning to attend WMU. GPA receiving the main consideration although financial need can also be a consideration.
HEEF – Ruth Tangerstrom Memorial Scholarship
To provide a scholarship to obtain an Elementary Education Degree for a student who needs financial help, has an average grade point and has demonstrated an interest in extra-curricular activities.
HEEF- C. Arthur Schoessel Memorial Fund
The annual scholarship for a Hastings Area Graduating Senior shall be determined by the HEEF Board of Directors and approved by the Barry Community Foundation.
HEEF- Howard & Leona Van Delic Fund
2 Scholarships of $400 each to be awarded to seniors graduating from Hastings High School – one for education and one for business curriculums.
Jane E. Williston Memorial Scholarship Fund
The fund shall be used for support of the Jane E. Williston Memorial Scholarships for Barry County Residents pursuing a degree as a Registered Nurse.
Jane Morris Memorial Fund
Provides scholarships to Barry County students who participate in 4H.
- Student must be a graduating senior of a Barry County high school
- Student must demonstrate academic achievement and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Must be accepted at an accredited post-secondary school.
- Financial need is not a requirement
- Student must demonstrate community involvement through non-academic school activities, volunteer work, or work experience.
- Student must be involved in 4H through the Barry County Fair.
- Student must demonstrate leadership ability.
Jane Morris Memorial Fund for Lakewood
Provides scholarships to Lakewood student.
- Student must be a graduating senior of Lakewood High School
- Student must demonstrate academic achievement and have a minimum 2.5 GPA.
- Must be accepted at an accredited post-secondary school.
- Financial need is not a requirement
- Student must demonstrate community involvement through non-academic school activities, volunteer work, or work experience.

Jim & Mel Hund Scholarship Fund
Provides a scholarship to a Hastings or Delton Kellogg High School student pursuing a degree in Education.
Requirements:
A Hastings or Delton Kellogg High School student, Pursuing a degree in Education and accepted to an accredited university or college; Qualify for financial need using FAFSA; Participation in athletics and/or music desired; Involved in school and/or community activities.
Kate Kwasny Memorial Teacher Scholarship
The Kate Kwasny Memorial Scholarship Foundation is dedicated to providing scholarships for Delton-Kellogg high school seniors who are pursuing a career in education.
Lorraine Dahlgren Scholarship Fund
- Must be a graduating high school senior from Thornapple Kellogg Schools.
- Must be from the first generation of college/post-secondary school bound student in the family.
- Must be accepted at an accredited post-secondary school or vocational/technical institute.

- Applicants will be evaluated on their essays.
- Leadership experience is required.
- Work experience is preferred.
Love of Barry County Donor Advised Fund
To help provide funding for educational, benevolent, charitable or public purposes within or outside the County of Barry. The focus will be faith based, along with seven elements of a healthy community.
Lydia Cole Memorial Fund
The purpose of this fund is to support TK, DK and/or Hastings graduating seniors by providing scholarships. The fund will also support the TK, DK and Hastings swimming programs with grant dollars.
Marshall J. Seger Scholarship Fund
To provide scholarships for Barry County financially needy students seeking further education.
Mary Youngs Athletic and Music Memorial Scholarship
This is a $1000 monetary award for a HHS graduate who successfully participated in four years of music and sports. One award will be distributed per year.
Southside Pediatrics Scholarship Fund
To provide a scholarship to a Barry County graduating senior who plans to pursue a career dedicated to improving the lives of children.
Must be a Barry County graduate or a graduating senior in the current academic year.
Student plans to pursue a career dedicated to improving the lives of children. Some examples are: teacher, counselor, pediatric PT, OT or speech, youth minister, para-professional, genetic counseling, or child life specialist.
Must be accepted at an accredited post-secondary school or vocational/technical institute.
Student will be evaluated on essay content.
One letter of recommendation from a high school teacher, counselor, principal, employer, community volunteer leader or religious leader.
Steve Paas Memorial Scholarship (Pepsi Beverages Company)
Fund Purpose: Providing scholarships to children of the employees of Pepsi Beverage Company 3700 Kraft Avenue, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Student must be a child of a full-time employee of the Pepsi Beverages Company located at 3700 Kraft Avenue. Employee must be actively employed with the company for at least one year prior to the application deadline date.
- Student must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Student must be planning to pursue a 2 or 4 year degree.
- Student must provide a letter of recommendation from an individual who is not a family member.
- Student may reapply each year for this scholarship; however cannot receive scholarship more than two times.
TAC – Ethel Denton Groos Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship awards are for students pursuing a 4 year degree to a Fine Arts Program at an accredited University or College.
TAEF – Adam Dipp Memorial Scholarship Fund
Memorial by Adam’s Class (TK Class of 2000). Qualified applicants will desire to major/work in Computer Science or a related fields and preferably have had STA experiences.
TAEF – Adele & Arnold Parker Family Fund
Established by the Parker’s five children in memory of Adele & Arnold Parker to provide a yearly award of $500 to a graduating senior or alumni of the Thornapple Kellogg School District. The award is renewable based on students ability to meet requirements.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Student must be a graduate or graduating senior of TK Schools.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Student must demonstrate financial need.
- Letter of recommendation from a teacher required.
- Community/School/ Work involvement and essay will be considered.
TAEF – Alecia Lorraine Holst Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was created to honor the memory of Alecia Holst, a 2000 grad of TKHS. The award is for a TK senior or licensed approved Michigan HOME senior majoring in medical/allied health and has a strong background in 4-H.
TAEF – Beth Helrigel Wester Memorial Scholarship Fund
To be awarded to a TK student or alumni pursing a major or minor in arts/music. The committee will also consider an individual seeking assistance for a seminar/class/camp in art or music. A business curriculum may qualify if no art/music applicants.
TAEF – Class of 1957 Scholarship Fund
The fund shall be used to support the Thornapple Area enrichment Foundation Scholarships.
TAEF – Dykstra EMS Matching Fund
Established by Barb & Dave Dykstra to financially assist qualified Thornapple Township Emergency Services volunteers that are interested in continuing and/or advancing their EMS and fire fighting expertise.
TAEF – Eugene & Edna Hendrickson Memorial Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established by Annetta & Judy Hendrickson in memory of their parents to provide a one time award of $500 for a graduating senior of the TK School District. The student must attend a state/public college and plan to pursue a 2 yr Assoc.
TAEF – Finkbeiner Scholarship Fund
The fund shall be used to provide financial assistance for a senior residing in the Thornapple Kellogg School district who wish to further their education in the medical/allied health fields. It was established in 2005 by Dr. Wayne & Marie Finkbeiner.
TAEF – Francisca C. Vrona Memorial Scholarship
The purpose of the fund is to support a graduating senior of Thornapple Kellogg Schools who is pursuing a 2 or 4 year degree in the science or medical field.
TAEF – Gerald & Ceta Williams Fund
The Gerald & Ceta Williams Scholarship Fund was established for the purpose of providing scholarships to Thornapple Kellogg Residents who seek a degree in business.
TAEF – Gerald L. Page Education Scholarship Fund
Jerry Page expressed a desire to help students financially for their post high school education. This is a good way to honor his years of service on the TAEF board and as an educator, coach, and superintendent in TK schools.

Varies in amount and availability as deemed by the Board and surviving family members annually.
TAEF – JK Simpson Scholarship Fund
To provide scholarships to Graduates of the Thornapple Kellogg School District who seek educational opportunities beyond high school at any Michigan college or University in the area of nursing (medical sciences to be accepted only if no nursing students).
TAEF – Jody Helrigel Pratt Educational Scholarship Fund
The Helrigel -Pratt family of Barry County continues to support education beyond high school as a way to be successful in the world today. Jody Helrigel Pratt was an educator/administrator in Barry and Allegan County for over fifty years in grades K-12 and at the university level.
Children learn from role models in their lives; family, friends and the classroom teachers. Sense of the world beyond the classroom, love of learning, and young people would describe someone who would consider the field of education.
TAEF – John & Maxine Robertson Scholarship Fund
The fund shall be used to provide a scholarship for an alumni of Thornapple Kellogg Schools.
TAEF – Julie Bender Women’s Athletic Scholarship Fund
- Student must be a graduating senior of Thornapple Kellogg Schools.
- Student must be accepted at an accredited college, university, vocational or technical school.
- Student must be female.
- Student must excel in sports during high school; however, the sport does NOT have to be school sponsored (ie. Gymnastics, Rowing, etc).
- Student must provide a letter of recommendation from a teacher.
- Student will be evaluated on essay content.
TAEF – Katherine & Edward Wieringa Friendship & Community Scholarship Fund
To promote the positive use of friendship to benefit school and community and to encourage higher education. This scholarship was developed to a great extent from the friendship of Elizabeth Thurber & Katie Wieringa and their commitment to education at Thornapple Kellogg.
- Student must be a graduating senior of Thornapple Kellogg Schools.
- Student must be accepted to an accredited college, university, community college or trade school.
- Student must apply in collaboration with another TKHS graduating senior, both applicants will be required to submit a mutual essay describing how they volunteered together in their community while attending TK Schools.
TAEF – Lois Ann Nagel-Seppanen Scholarship Fund
This scholarship was established to honor the memory of Lois Ann Nagel Seppanen, a 1947 grad of TK Schools. The $400.00 award will be for a student who is pursing a major at an accredited college for business, management, or accounting.
TAEF – Lynn Helrigel Summers Memorial Fund
Thornapple Kellogg senior or grad that is pursuing a major or minor in the filed of art or music at an accredited college/trade/vocations school. It may also be used for an applicant majoring in education if no arts/music applicants.
TAEF – McCullough Family Scholarship
One time scholarship for both a TK and DK School District resident (graduating senior, graduate or home schooled). This philanthropic family created this award for students who wish to further their post high school education in business, education or ministry.
TAEF – Middleville Women’s Club Scholarship Fund
To give $400 Scholarships for Middleville Graduates Pursuing a 2-4 year degree, every other year, unless otherwise determined by the Advisory Committee.
TAEF – Millicent Knox Teacher Scholarship Fund
This scholarship varies in amount and availability as deemed by the Board annually.
TAEF – Mom’s Scholarship in memory of Virginia Hoover Harrison Root
Provides scholarships to a mother who resides in Barry County who also provides financial support for her family.
TAEF – Ray Page Scholar-Athlete Memorial Fund
Scholarship for a graduating student who plans to attend college or vocational school, as well as for TK students who need financial aid to play sports or attend a sport camp.
TAEF – RKW Student Working Fund
To provide funds of varied amounts to be matched with local businesses to provide scholarships to Graduates and/or Residents of the TK School District who seek educational opportunities beyond High School.
TAEF – Rodney & Rena Schad Memorial Scholarship for Industrial Arts
The scholarship will be awarded to a Thornapple Kellogg High School Senior who is planning to continue his/her education in technical fields such as CAD/CAM, Drafting or any other industrial arts.
TAEF – Terrie Yoder Fund
This scholarship is a $500 award to a TK Senior majoring in education and/or Christian Ministry at an accredited college. The fund was developed in the memory of Terrie by her husband Dave and children Wendy & Gina.
TAEF – Thomas R. Hamilton Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded to a Thornapple Kellogg graduating senior athlete who excels in the classroom and excels on the TKHS tennis team. Thomas became deathly ill from a tropical lung infections when survey for the Navy and died on 9/2/91.
TAEF – Thornapple Kellogg Alumni Association Fund
The Fund shall be used for support of the Thornapple Kellogg Alumni Association Fund and/or related educational purposes.
TAEF – Travis Wenger 4-H Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded annually to an active participant of the Barry County 4-H Fair of exhibitors of animal entries. The applicant must be a graduating HS senior or Freshman at an accredited institution/vocational program.
TAEF – Travis Wenger Memorial Scholarship Fund
To be awarded annually to a Thornapple Kellogg senior who is pursing a career in Landscape Design or a field related to agriculture.
TAEF – Village Players of Middleville Art Scholarship Fund
Purpose of the fund is to support a graduate of or a graduating senior from Thornapple Kellogg Schools who is pursuing a degree in performing arts with a scholarship to an accredited college or university.
TAEF – William McGee Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was set up to honor William McGee. The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating TK senior who shows community involvement.
TAEF – Robert Evans Memorial Scholarship
It is the intention of the Robert Evans Memorial Scholarship Fund to award a scholarship to graduating high school seniors and graduates of Thornapple Kellogg Schools or Hastings Area Schools exhibiting leadership skills and pursuing a career in the field of education.
TAEF Brian Appel Trades Scholarship
Provides scholarships to Thornapple Kellogg students pursuing a certification or degree in the skilled trade field or health care profession.
TAEF- Samuel McKeown Memorial Scholarships
One half of one percent will support the activities of the Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation. 4% will go to scholarships for graduating seniors of the Thornapple Kellogg School District.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Student must be a graduating senior or graduate of Thornapple Kellogg Schools Student must be accepted to an accredited college or university

Taylor Chey Baumgart-Boulter Memorial Fund
This scholarship will be awarded to a Delton Kellogg Academy graduating senior who plans to pursue a career path requiring college or a vocational/technical course of study – if no applicant the available see fund note for instructions.
TEAM Barry County Scholarship Fund
The purpose of the fund is to support a Barry County resident who has been accepted into an entrepreneurial field at a Michigan University or College.
Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation Fund
The fund will be used for the support of the Thornapple Area Enrichment Foundation for charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes for and in the Thornapple Area.
Thornapple Garden Club Scholarship Fund
This fund shall be used for the support of the Thornapple Garden Club Scholarship Fund and/or related educational purposes as approved from time to time by the Barry Community Foundation.
UAW Local 1002 Scholarship Fund
To provide non-traditional scholarships for students, (not graduating High School) that are pursuing a certification or apprentice.
Viking Group Scholarships
To provide 2 scholarships annually: The Emil Tyden Scholarship for Barry County Students and the competitive Viking Group Scholarship for Viking Employees whose plant/organization is outside of Michigan. See eligibility requirements.
Women Helping Women Scholarship Fund
To provide scholarships to Barry County Residents who hold a H.S. diploma or a GED and is accepted at an accredited post secondary educational program.
