The purpose of the fund is to support a graduating senior from Thornapple Kellogg Schools who is pursuing a certification in the trades industry with a preference to the field of diesel mechanics. Scholarship dollars can be used for tuition at an accredited technical school, college or university, required tools for a selected trade, and/or training or apprenticeship costs.
Eligibility Requirements
Scholarships
- Must be a graduate of or a graduating high school senior from Thornapple Kellogg Schools who is pursuing a degree/certification in the trades industry with a preference to the field of diesel mechanics. If NO qualified students pursuing a degree in diesel mechanics apply, qualified applicants pursuing a profession in the industrial trades will be eligible.
- Must be accepted at an accredited post-secondary school or qualified apprenticeship program.
- Must display an aptitude in mechanical ability and have a strong work ethic.
Financial need is not a requirement, but students must fill out the FAFSA application
